Oh how I've missed this place..

ARIZONA SUNSHINE..nothing better!  The 3 of us took our first family vacation to AZ for a week over Easter.  Carson was a champ on the plane ride. With lots of "hi" and "peek a boo" to the people around us, he was pretty entertaining. However, I was still looking at the watch every 10 minutes to see how much longer we had to be on the plane. That's a small place for a little toddler to sit still and his parents to not get stressed!

Here we go!

We were welcomed to AZ by Papa Randy and Grandma Sharon as well as Great Gpa and Gma Bassett.  Carson was all smiles but was bummed with allergies and the appearance of his 2 top eye teeth. SO FUN to be teething on vacation! (wink wink) Poor little man, but he was a trooper.

Ryan was able to get 3 rounds of golf in which made him a very happy daddy! And I was able to hang out with Tiffany and have a lunch date with my coworkers. Its love/hate to visit there. I miss being there  but am happy to be back in MN at the same time.

Ryan's sister, LeAnne and her family were able to join us in the Valley for a few days over Easter. It was so cute to get the little buddies together for some good cousin time.  The boys enjoyed the Phoenix Zoo together, good old fashion play time, and an Easter Egg hunt (which was cut short due to 90 degree weather)!

Carson was able to enjoy pool time, sunshine, lots of stroller rides, the zoo, and lots of snuggles with Papa and Grandma.  It was also so precious to have him with us for a week with my grandparents. Precious memories were created.  Grandpa Jerry was determined to get him walking by the time we left. We got a few steps but he is still scared to try it without a hand to hold.

Should I be playing in here?

A Successful trip to say the least. However, Ryan and I both were reminded that vacations are now different with a busy toddler calling the shots! But, still a wonderful time!
